My Mastering Works has stopped joining clips. Now, if I edit several clips together, and click "encode", the outputted result is several separate clips. Can someone tell me what I may have clicked to have caused this, and how I can revert to the normal output?
I have a problem when I importe TS. During the encoding process, Tmpgenc failed : the message is "a error occurred communicating with the output process. Faulting Module : MovieMPEG.wme".
My OS : win 7 x64.
Please, add allow edit Subme parameter for x264 encoding to Motion Search Setting section in MP4 File Advanced Output settings. Because I can not make encoding parameters higher than 9 value of Subme x264 parameter.
However, the best decision is: allow to user in Advanced setting make edit of x264 encoder parameters string before encoding.
P.S. Please, tell me: how correlation between "Quality" setting (from 1 to 100) with CRF x264 parameter in Constand Quality MP4 encode settings?
Hi,I have a problem with Intel Media SDK encoding. I start the encoding 20% ,%45 %80 good processing but is freezing and "abort" function not working not responding. If i select the x264 no problem. I need fast encoding .

Using the disk burning portion of TAW5 I can burn a list of .MKV files to a 25 GB disk. However I would like to have a home page menu that would allow selecting one of the files, play the file, then return to the main menu for another selection. As it is now, the disk shows the list of .MKV files but once a file has started playing it will continue through the rest of all the remaining consecutive files without returning to the home page menu after each file.
What did you select for "Track playback end action" in "Blu-ray global menu settings"? I believe it is defaulted to "Play the next track" but you should select "Display the track menu (or the top menu if none)" to automatically return to the menu.
Thanks for your reply. I already have the menu set to play one track then return to the top menu. I'm not describing the problem properly: I'm converting files to .MKV because there is very little loss in quality and our Blu-Ray players can play .MKV files. More specifically, when I select "Blu-Ray" in trying to use the 25 GB of the disk, TAW5 converts the files to .m2ts format (Blu-Ray) blowing the files back up to the much, much larger Blu-Ray file size. Same if I select DVD; the files are pumped back up to a greater size (standard DVD). When I use only the "Disk Burning tool" I can drag the files to the tool window and burn all the .MKV files, and that does provide a menu like structure - but there is no returning to the top menu at the end of each track. TAW5 does an excellent job in making a Blu-Ray formatted disks, but I need a much simpler method of being able to return to Menu top after each file and still use the 25 GB disk size. It just not seem possible in TAW5 to do so it seems.
Why not have shortcuts for many actions from context menu on the timeline???
For examples, why not have shortcut for "Split Clip at Preview Position" action?
Why not have elementary function for any video editor as Delete Selected Range with offset to the left?
Any chance of a auto save function been added preferably before encoding. There is nothing more frustrating than spending a long time editing, then clicking encode and WAM BANG the computer crashes... so loosing everything.. I have taut my self to always save project before encoding. Due to the for mentioned problem, But I only human and I do sometimes forget.
What I do is add the project to the batch encoder instead of encoding it.
Once it's in the batch, the project can be retrieved from the batch encoder until you delete it from the list.
I have a series of MP4 files that were created by a Panasonic camcorder during a long uninterrupted recording, these are so-called spanned clips.
The files are MP4 AVC (High@L5.1) 3840x2160 25 fps (70 Mbps) and should be concatenated losslessly. Audio is 256 kbps AAC (LC).
Using TMSR4, I get the choice to either encapsulate the result as MPEG file or MKV file - MP4 is greyed out (why ??? I only have Master and Smart clips at input stage !) !
For the MPEG file option, I get two options for the Container: MPEG-2 Program or MPEG-2 Transport.
The first option causes full reencode ("rescue") of the complete audio stream (why ???), while the second option results in a file that is obviously no longer a MPEG-4 container, and is not accepted by my editing software.
I can of course import and "stitch" the original MP4 files together directly inside my editing app, but for some reason this is not an acceptable solution.
I really want to concatenate these MP4 files together seamlessly.
If TMSR4 can't do it transparently, what options do I have ?
Despite the explanation, I'm still looking for a solution/workaround !
How can I force TMSR4 to override the "illegal" Variable Quantization Matrix produced by the camcorder ?
You can only contact Pegasys support about this. It is true that when it comes to Smart Renderer 4, they are being slow to update its various problems. Their last update dates back to July 2015, which is not reassuring at all. They used to respond much quicker to user problems with new updates.
You could probably join (=append) those files as MKV with MKVToolnix without re-encoding. If you absolutely need MP4, you can try MP4Box. It's a command-line tool but it should be easy enough. There also GUI's available for it.
I am using Authoring Works ver. 5.2.4.63 and I am seeing the following:
* Creating a DVD with a static menu (png image)
* I add a 7 min music clip (have tried MP3, wma and wav)
* In both simulation mode & the actual DVD, the audio clip only plays for 10 sec and...
* Then the audio clip loops over and over - even though I did not select looping in the Background Music menu
When I select the background music (in the menu screen), the entire music clip is selected and the full 7 mins plays.
Looks in the global menu settings under motion menu. There is a box where you control the length of the motion menu loop. Just because you add a 7 minute video, it doesn't automatically change this setting to use the full video. (which personally I wish it would)
You can't use those discs any way in your Blu-ray player.
The first players to hit the market, who will have BDXL support, won't arrive before 2016, which are UHD Blu-ray players from Samsung and Panasonic.
Not a single one of the current Blu-ray players supports these discs.
Also, did you check the specs for your Blu-ray writer, if it actually has BDXL support?
I want to create an extremely simple menu for Blu-Ray disks. When the disk is inserted it should show 4 selections (tracks) on a main menu. The selected track should play immediately when chosen without any other pages shown. Upon finishing the selected track it should return to the original simple menu. No chapters, no subtitles, nothing except simply open a main menu when the disk is inserted, go to the track selected, finish the track and go back to the main menu. No other selections involved at all.
Is this possible in TAW5?
I have tried at least a dozen different combinations on the custom menu choices with no real success. I keep getting intermediate (one example: chapter pages are shown) and can't get an opening insertion page that shows for track selections only.
